Give or Volunteer

At Ingalls, we value our ability to help the south suburban community with health and wellness services. In return, our neighbors help us by donating their time. For almost a century, we've been delivering lifesaving care to those in the Southland. Volunteer and you'll be a part of that compassionate delivery.

Donate Your Time

Each of us at Ingalls believes in treating the whole person, and not just the symptom. We believe in treating you with respect and dignity. We believe in giving you the best possible care and service. We believe in community. And invite you to join our community of care.

How to Join Our Volunteer Team

Becoming a volunteer begins with a genuine interest in helping others. As a volunteer, you not only receive great satisfaction in helping others, you also have an opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and are requested to donate at least 1 day a week for 4 hours.

To apply for a volunteer position, all potential volunteers must complete an application, attend a free initial orientation and participate in an interview screening process. Below is a link to the Adult and Teen volunteer packets. Please review and complete the information and call 708-915-5214 to schedule an interview, once everything is complete. A current TB test is required for volunteering, as well as a Physician's Statement indicating you are able to participate in an active volunteer program. We can provide the TB test free of charge.
