Multidisciplinary Therapy Program

At Ingalls

Located at the Ingalls Care Center in South Holland and the Ingalls Family Care Center in Flossmoor, our Multidisciplinary Therapy Program provides comprehensive rehabilitation and support services in a patient-centered environment. Treatment focuses on an individualized therapy program developed from a skilled assessment by our therapists.

The program team consists of physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as a scheduling team member.

Upon request, transportation is available to patients who live within a 10-mile radius of their chosen multidisciplinary program location. There is a nominal fee for this service.

Freedom from Smoking

"Freedom Smoking," the American Lung Association’s proven successful program, is being offered by the Ingalls Wellness Center for people who want to stop smoking. Instead of using traditional scare tactics, Freedom from Smoking uses group and individual activities and assignments that are designed to make participants aware of their habits. Group members learn to modify their behavior through seven steps of progression including the use of smoking cessation aids, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

Lymphadema Support Group

Lymphedema is the chronic swelling of an arm, leg, or other body part that may occur following surgery, radiation, or other trauma when the body’s lymph system has been impaired. Although lymphedema may develop most typically after a mastectomy, there are other conditions that can result in lymphedema.
