Women's & Children's
Overview
Special care for premature or ill newborns
Ingalls is home to a highly specialized nursery that is
rated Level II Plus. This distinction recognizes the advanced
monitoring equipment and technology used in our nursery
and the special training our staff has completed in everything
from ventilator support to how to care for the highest risk
newborns.
Ingalls mother/baby capabilities also include two state-of-the-art
surgical suites for cesarean deliveries, located down the
hall from the maternity suites.
Taking care of families
Children's Memorial Hospital has long been
recognized as one of the nation's top 10 children's hospitals.
Ingalls' partnership with this prestigious hospital brings
highly skilled specialists to Harvey.
Children's Memorial neonatologists and pediatricians practice
at Ingalls 24/7. And if your baby requires off-site expertise
in heart care, images of your baby's heart can be viewed
at Children's Memorial through technology that transmits
echocardiograms in real time. Ingalls is the only hospital
in the South Suburbs to offer this time and life-saving
innovation.

At Ingalls, obstetricians and pediatricians work hand in
