Joint Center
Technologies
Ingalls Joint Center is a place where orthopedic experts share ideas and work together for the best possible outcomes. Here, you have access to the same advanced technology and procedures available at major medical centers across the country – without the inconvenience of travel
Diagnostics
We're committed to providing you with the most accurate and reliable clinical information thanks to our state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services, experienced board-certified radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and sports medicine specialists. And for your convenience, many of our diagnostic tests are offered at multiple locations.
Imaging
New digital technologies now give our physicians electronic access to images in or out of the hospital. And patients have access to their images on CD-Rom or conventional film. That means we can provide faster turnaround times between tests and results. And, to ensure the most accurate diagnosis in the shortest period of time, Ingalls offers the most up-to-date imaging technology including: a spiral CT scanner, 3D imaging, MRI and SPECT/PET.
Surgical expertise and pinpoint accuracy
A computer-assisted surgical navigation system helps orthopedic surgeons fit new knees and hips with pinpoint accuracy. This breakthrough approach uses beams of light for optimal alignment, which means you can expect far less pain after surgery, a faster recovery and better range of motion. That translates into stronger, longer-lasting hips and knees. Ingalls Joint Center is the only facility in Chicago’s south suburbs with this advanced technology.
Other surgical advancements at Ingalls include minimally invasive alternatives to traditional hip and knee replacements, and cartilage restoration and repair, which helps younger patients avoid joint replacement surgeries altogether.
