Ways to Give
An Exciting Future
Healthcare is more challenging than ever in terms of reimbursement and market share. Ingalls is sound financially but must look to other avenues of funding if we are to continue to grow and maintain our independent status. Philanthropy has played a large role in Ingalls past success and is an ideal means to marry a donor's interest in giving (naming opportunity, estate planning, interest in healthcare) to our need for resources in the future.
Please consider helping Ingalls continue the excellent work that it has done. Our recognition categories are:

Maternity Suite Quilt
Family and friends can honor the birth of a child by contributing to the Maternity Suite Quilt. For a $25 contribution, a child's name will be added to a quilt. These quilts are displayed throughout the maternity floor.
Wall of Honor
The Wall of Honor was created to allow special acknowledgement of our many significant donors including individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations. Located in the main lobby of the hospital, the Wall of Honor has four areas of recognition:
- • a historical portion to honor past significant contributors;
- • partners portion to recognize friends today whose
generous support continues to help Ingalls Memorial
Hospital;
- • a medical staff portion to acknowledge the contributions of
individual physicians and medical groups;
- • a Foundation Society portion to show appreciation for
those who have provided a planned gift, by will, trust,
annuity, insurance, stocks or bonds.
Desser Memorial Garden
Richard K. Desser, M.D., was a practicing oncologist who died of cancer at the age of 52. Dr. Desser was continually inspired by the beauty of nature. Through IDF, Dr. Desser's family and friends dedicated an on-site garden in his memory. It is their hope that it will be a place of peace and solace for all "to take time to smell the roses."
Helen and Bernard Kozloff Healing Garden
The Helen and Bernard Kozloff Family Foundation was formed with a mission to fund organizations and initiatives that promote and support healthcare, community and education. Ingalls has become a grateful recipient of funding to support the creation of the lovely, tranquil garden adjacent to the Ingalls Cancer Care Center in Tinley Park. The Kozloff family acknowledged that this type of project goes well beyond traditional medicine and promotes healing through a positive mental and emotional attitude.
